Phu Quoc Visa Requirements & Entry Rules 2026: 30-Day Exemption, e-Visa & Digital Declaration

1. Phu Quoc 30-Day Visa Exemption Policy

Phu Quoc is designated as a Special Economic Zone with a 30-day visa exemption for all foreign passport holders. Requirements:
• Direct international flight to Phu Quoc (PQC) or connecting domestic transit via Hanoi (HAN) / Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) with seamless luggage transfer and without leaving the international transit area.
• Passport valid for at least 6 months from arrival date.
• Confirmed return or onward ticket departing Phu Quoc within 30 days.
• Stay restricted to Phu Quoc island only.

2. Vietnam Mainland Visa Exemption & 90-Day e-Visa

If traveling beyond Phu Quoc to mainland Vietnam:
• 45-Day Visa Exemption: Citizens of Russia, Belarus, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, Japan, South Korea, etc.
• 30-Day Visa Exemption: Citizens of Kazakhstan and ASEAN member states.
• 90-Day e-Visa (Single/Multiple entry): Available for all nationalities online via Vietnam’s official immigration portal.

3. Mandatory Digital Arrival Declaration within 72 Hours

IMPORTANT: All travelers entering Vietnam must complete the electronic arrival declaration on the official Vietnamese immigration portal no earlier than 72 hours prior to arrival.

Upon completion, save the generated QR code on your mobile device or print a copy to present to border officers at immigration.

4. WARNING: Beware of Fraudulent Third-Party Broker Sites

The digital arrival declaration on the official government immigration portal is 100% FREE OF CHARGE.

Beware of unauthorized third-party broker websites and commercial copycats charging $20–$60 fees for submitting the form. Always use official Vietnamese government portals and never pay third-party fees for standard arrival declarations.

5. Immigration Checklist
